RAY ARSENAULT Obituary



RAY ARSENAULT DEC. 29 1929- AUG. 27 2006 Ray died on his 51st wedding anniversary to his dear Bette. Ray was a US marine, TV director and Canadian television pioneer, he produced the early 'Hockey Night in Canada' programs, directed TV series for every Canadian network and helped launch the first telecommunications satellite. Ray was a good, funny and loveable troublemaker. He leaves Bette, daughter Adrienne, sister Mary, in-laws Bob and Violet Preston, nephews Paul Goyer, Ken and Dave Preston, and the Strasman family. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5th with a celebration of Ray's life to be held in the Leaside Room at 3 o'clock. Donations in Ray's memory may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, 555 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M5G 1X8.
