Dear Auntie Florrie, Valerie, Susan and Peter,
My heart was saddened when I heard that Uncle Griff had passed on. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
I was thinking last night about all of the holidays our families spent together during our childhood. We were very blessed to have such good, strong people as part of our "clan". It meant that being a kid in the Black, Griffis, Tabrett, Fodden, Hallem, Whitehead and Moore "Clan" was a good place to grow up. Uncle Griff will always have a place in our hearts.
All My Love, David

I will miss you Uncle Griff, my heart is broken. I absolutely adored you from the time I was a very little girl...I have so many wonderful and funny memories, from wanting to marry you, train trips to Lachute, graduation invites, and most recently spending a wonderful week with you last summer at the cottage. You will remain in my heart forever

To Florrie, Valerie, Susan, Peter and your families - We will miss seeing Ray at the cottage. He would wander over to see what we were up to and always had great suggestions for us. His presence on the island will be sorrily missed as he was always involved in the island community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

How sad I was to hear of Ray's passing. My father (Johnny Drennan)had great affection for Ray, and he always referred to Ray as "Griff". I remember so many great times at our farm near Lachute. Ray built a large log home there, and he was justifiably proud of his work.

Deepest sympathy to Florrie and family from the Drennans.

My dear Uncle "Griff" - a loving, devoted family man, always with a twinkle in his eye and a great chuckle. He promised to buy me a horse as soon as he won the "Irish Cheapskates" and I held onto that dream all my life - until Aug 17, 2009. He loved his family and was so proud of you all!
