REGINA DOOSE Obituary

(1938 – 2026) Regina Doose passed away peacefully, on February 10, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Switzerland, Regina immigrated to Canada as a young teenager. She carried vivid memories of her childhood and often shared stories of her early years with remarkable clarity. She built her life in Canada with quiet determination and grace. Regina trained and worked as a medical secretary before dedicating herself fully to raising her family. She was a steady, selfless presence who gave freely of her time and energy. In later years, she embraced community life with warmth and generosity, volunteering regularly and supporting friends whenever she could. A gifted knitter, Regina was an active member of her knitting groups and created countless handmade gifts for family, friends, and charitable causes. Her hands were rarely still. Regina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Klaus. She was a devoted mother to Carl and his wife, Jennifer Doose (née McTeague), and to Ann. She was a cherished grandmother to Kurt, Erik, and Olivia. She is survived by her brothers, Urs and Christian; and her sister, Luzia. She was predeceased by her brother, Ulrich; and her sisters, Katherine and Elisabeth. Her life was defined by kindness, constancy, and a deep commitment to family. She will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared privately. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please donate to the Scarborough Health Network (www.shnfoundation.ca/lovescarborough).
