GRAHAM, Reginald Stuart, Brigadier General (Retired)
Passed away peacefully in Qualicum Beach, BC on Monday, April 21, 2003 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Betty. Survived by his brother Alan (Florida) and sister Patricia (Cambridge). Loving father of son Gordon (Elaine) of Ottawa, daughters Christine (Malcolm Watkins) of Victoria and Jane (Wayne Ortlieb) of Kenora. Fondly remembered by seven grandchildren ( Stephanie, Andrea, Michael, Kate, Eric, Ian and Stephen) and two great grandchildren (Cooper and Morgan). Predeceased by his parents Reginald and Gladys Graham, wife Mary and daughter Susan. Stu was a graduate of Royal Military College. As a professional soldier for 35 years he served with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) in England, Sicily, Italy and Europe during World War II, the Regiment of the Canadian Guards in both Canada and Germany and held a number of appointments in Canada, the United States and India. Stu was honoured to have served as Colonel of the Regiment, PPCLI from October 15, 1987 to October 19, 1990. A celebration of Stu's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Marks Anglican Church, 138 Hoylake Road W., Qualicum Beach, BC. In lieu of flowers Stu requested donations be made to the Hamilton Gault Memorial Fund (PPCLI) HQ, PO Box 10500 Station Forces, Edmonton AB, T5J 4J5, The Canadian Guards Association of the Salvation Army. Parksville Funeral Chapel, Cemetery and Crematorium entrusted with arrangements, 250-248-4644.
