RHODA ELAINE GRANATSTEIN (Née Wiseman) It is with great love and sadness that the family of Rhoda Elaine (Wiseman) Granatstein announces her passing on Friday, February 18, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband Jack. After seventy-one years of marriage, they could still be seen together, holding hands, as they walked down the street after dinner. Wonderful mother to Billy and Sylvie, Robbie and Ronda. Amazing Nana to Matthew and Daria, Michele and Pierre; Tamara and Eli, Gabriel and Lauren, Rebecca and Chris. She fiercely loved all her great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Stella, Mara, June, Max and Cooper. Rhoda will be fondly remembered by Lynda Schneider-Granatstein. Born in 1929 to Lou and Anne, Rhoda grew up in Montreal alongside her beloved brothers Sam (Judy), and the late Philip (Elka). In her early married years, Rhoda helped her father in the building of Canada Tire. Loving, feisty, opinionated and dressed to perfection on every occasion, Rhoda had a beautiful life travelling the world, spending time with her family and contributing to her community in leadership roles. Rhoda loved life and was always learning something new. She was interested in the world and progressive in her thinking - there was not a book she had not read, a movie she hadn't seen, a recipe she hadn't tried, and a restaurant she hadn't critiqued. She led a more active social life than most of her grandchildren, spending time with her friends at book club, bridge, cooking class, and movie festivals. She even authored her own cookbook whose proceeds went to charity. Rhoda will forever be remembered for her amazing wit, attention to detail, honesty, intelligence, and her love of being with her family. Donations in her memory may be made to Heart to Heart,
