Richard Edward Krechowicz

(April 26, 1953 - December 6, 2025) Loving husband of 49 years to Lynda; father of Dana, Jill (Jack), and Reg (Steve); and dear Dziadzia to Colin, Mark, Nora and Simon. Rich was the eldest child born to Polish immigrants, Stefan and Janina. Predeceased by his parents, and sister, Lydia. Survived by siblings, Ted, Kaz, Eva and Alice (Steve). Early in his career, Rich was famous for his kielbasa sold at the family's deli, Oshawa Meat Products, and then founded a business focused on energy efficiency. Moving to Ottawa in 2018, he was a full time Dziadzia, cooking and baking despite health challenges, including losing his dominant hand to cancer. He read the Globe and Mail religiously. He will be remembered for his humour, optimism and resilience.
