RICHARD MALINSKI Obituary

ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS (February 23, 1944 – August 27, 2025). We are deeply saddened to announce the death of a cherished husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle, colleague, and friend. Richard leaves his wife, Ann-Margrit; son, Eric; cousin, Marianne, her husband, David, and their daughters with families in Fergus. In Montréal, Richard's sister, Cecilia, predeceased him and he leaves brother-in-law, Kent; niece, Rachel; and nephews, Jared and Douglas, with their families. Richard had a large community of friends in the organizations in which he volunteered, as well as in his music and gardening activities. After their retirement, Richard and Ann-Margrit enjoyed traveling the world, studying and photographing its many wonders. Professionally, Richard's career spanned 35 years at York University, Simon Fraser University, and Ryerson University, as Chief Librarian and Director of Distance Education. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Richard's Life on Saturday, September 27th, at 3:00 p.m., at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home, located at 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville.
