November 20, 1960 – March 29, 2025 With deep sadness, we share that our dear brother, Richard, departed on March 29, 2025, leaving a legacy of intelligence, compassion, and connection. Youngest of nine to William Tillmann (d.1998) and Anne Tillmann (d.2013) of London, ON. Predeceased by eldest brother, Ged (d. 2024); lovingly cherished by sister-in-law, Jane; siblings and spouses, Pegi McCrea (Rob), Mary Pat (Gerry Dancyger), Judy Gmeiner (Bart), Catherine, Paula Tillmann Peirce (Richard), Babs Schenck (Lou), and Bill (Gill); 15 adoring nieces and nephews, a multitude of cousins, and many beloved friends. Richard earned degrees from Queen's University and the University of Toronto and built a distinguished career in the Ontario Public Service, retiring in 2019 as Senior Manager and Special Advisor at FSCO. A certified mediator and strategic leader, he was instrumental in advancing financial services regulation and advocating for equality. Known for his warmth, humour, and deep friendships, Richard made everyone feel seen and valued. He was a gifted host, a culinary enthusiast, and a generous community member. In his memory, hug your loved ones and consider volunteering. Visitation only will be held Friday, April 11th, from 3–7 p.m. at Donohue Funeral Home (
