DOBBIN, Rita M.
Passed peacefully away, at Chancellor Park, St. John's Newfoundland, on Thursday, March 28, 2002, Rita M. Dobbin, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Patrick J., 1970; son Dennis, 1992; daughter Judy, 1966; and grandsons Sean and Gregory. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: son Dr. Patrick (Joan) and grandchildren Lynn (Bruce), Laura, Leah (Ken), Pat (Judy), Jim (Jane), Siobhan (Roger), Deirdre (Shane), Brian (Kay); children of Dennis, Gary (Ann Marie), Gerry (Joyce), Sharon; son Craig (Elaine) and grandchildren Mark (Sandra), David (Penny), Joanne (Brian), Carolyn (Adison), Craig (Lisa) and their mother Eleanor; daughter Maureen (Dr. Justin McCarthy) Glasgow, Kentucky and grandchildren Marie (Ray), Deirdre (Josh), Una (Reid), Mairaid (Red); son Basil (Beth) and grandchildren Judy, Jill (Neil), Tracey and Erin; son Derm (Ethel) and grandchildren Bradley, Julianne and Gregory; daughter Marian (Dr. Walter Tucker), Bell Island, Newfoundland, and grandchildren Margo (Jay), Sean (Deanne), Sinead (Tyler) and Stephanie; daughter Rita (Edwin Dodge), Calgary and grandchildren Adrienne and Christopher, daughter Margo, St. John's , and grandchildren Brian and Andrew Corcoran; son Barney (Elizabeth) and grandchild Lyle. Sister, Marion Maher, Freshwater, Placentia; forty-four greatgrandchildren as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Many thanks to the staff at Chancellor Park and to Drs. O'Shea and Crocker for their loving care and attendance. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John's Newfoundland, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A Vigil will be held at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2002 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass to be held on Monday, April 1, 2002 at 10 a.m. from Mary Queen of Peace Parish, St. John's Newfoundland with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, St. John's, Newfoundland. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Paraplegic Association or a charity of one's choice.
