Robert ANGLIN Obituary

ROBERT FORTH ANGLIN August 1932 - April 2022 Bob Anglin, best known as "Balt" to close friends and family, had a smile and positivity that will live on in all who he met. Born in Kingston, Bob was married to Marilynne (née Neasmith) for 57 years. Living life to the fullest, they embraced each of their communities, including Kingston, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Port Hope. Bob's greatest pleasure was spending time with Marilynne and his five children. He is survived by Kim, Lori (with Philippe, Simon and Oliver Noël), Patti (with Jeff, Katie, Cooper and Rhys Toogood), Bob Jr. (with Bernadette La Porte, Charlotte and Robert (Joe) Anglin) and Marni. Bob was predeceased by Marilynne and his beloved dog "child" Hunter. A natural leader, Bob worked for IBM for over 30 years and greatly valued his lifelong friendships with his colleagues. Keen on any sports, Bob was passionate about basketball and the Toronto Raptors. He was a creative and talented carpenter, taking on fine woodworking and furniture projects throughout his life. For decades after his retirement, Bob ran his renowned "RFA Carpentry" business from his workshop in both Toronto's Annex and Port Hope. Heartfelt thanks to the incredible Sunnybrook Medical teams, whose collective professionalism extended his well-lived years. Bob was a true gentleman. A celebration of his life will be held at a future time. Donations on Bob's behalf may be directed to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, https://donate.sunnybrook.ca

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, which is good because I lack the words to express how much our Dear Balti will be missed! A final resting place in the heavenly realm would only be appropriate for such a stellar human being. Forever your fan, Fav Unc!

Bob will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. What a kind gentleman he was always supportive and engaging. Part-time furniture making was a retirement skill I benefited from as well long (but slow) walks with Bentley and me. You were the Best!! Christine Sawicki

I was a camper of Bob Jr. on the 1986 Quetico trip of Taylor Statten Camps. That trip changed my life and Bob Jr. was a big part of that. I never met your dad but really appreciated reading his obituary and can see that he raised a good son! Wishing family and friends all the best as you remember Bob Sr. and cope with the loss.

Heartfelt condolences, Bob and Marni. I never met your dad, but he was obviously a very fine parent. With love in your time of sorrow. Baldy.

I always think of your father with a smile that came from his heart. I use to tease him about being Cary Grant especially when he was using his cane. He contributed to the pleasure I had working at Amica on the Avenue. There is no doubt that he adored his family and his family adored him. My sympathies are extended to all of you.
