Robert BERTRAM Obituary
BERTRAM, Robert George,
born in Toronto Sept. 7, 1928.
Following a lengthy illness, Bob passed away peacefully on Tuesday
February 7th, 2017 at The Southlake Care Facility in Newmarket, Ontario.
The past ten years have been a challenge for Bob but his spunk and spirit shone through until the very end. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the team on 3 East who were amazing at keeping Bob happy during a very difficult time.
Bertsie leaves behind his wife Elizabeth of 65 years who was the best thing that ever happened to him. Bob is also survived by his son Geoff (MaryAnn) and his daughter Ginny Aird (Hugh), grandchildren Geoff, Katie, Jennifer, Liz, John and Ginny and ten great-grandchildren. Bob was also very close to his late brother Ron (Besty) and their children, Jay, Ronnie and Suzanne.
Bertsie was everyone's friend, no matter what age or lot in life. He was an accomplished athlete who loved all sports. He attended UTS and The U of T followed by many years in sales at Southam Murray Printing and TV Guide. Bob was an avid squash and tennis player and he loved his golf. He was a longtime, active member and director of The Badminton and Racquet Club and The Big Bay Point Golf Club and The Toronto Golf Club.
We will all miss the good looking, entertaining Bertsie!
Rest in Peace Dad!
