Mr Callahan was an inspirational man and with his words of wisdom he guided me towards the person I am today. I am saddened I hadn´t heard sooner of his passing. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Callahan was truly blessed.

Robert was indeed a humanitarian! He fought the Children's Aid Society on behalf of our family for five (1969 - 1973) years to set precedence which changed the laws. As the result Barbara Franklin would have her children returned that they would not be adopted out piece meal and would ultimately know one another. Barbara herself passed Nov. 01 2020 and has surely welcomed Robert there. I know Barbara and her children Charlie, Rachel and myself Rodney shall ever remain eternally grateful for the grace of his presence in our lives. I was saddened when seeking Robert out to invite him to Mom's Celebration of life this coming July 17, just to learn of his passing, however, was also astonished that they too continue to travel close together with shared tribulations eternally.

Dear Callahans, we were saddened to hear that Bob is no longer with you after a long life of service to his community and devotion to his friends and family. Besides his many accomplishments, the Sheedys will remember Bob's many happy summers at Thunder Beach and hilarious episodes at 4EEEEs cottage, his boats, and athletic accomplishments of the Callahan men on the tennis court and elsewhere. RIP Bob. K&M Sheedy Yellowknife, NT

To the Callahan Family, I have fond memories of meeting and interacting with Mr. Callahan in my youth, as does my entire family. He was a very kind man. Our Mother has Alzheimer's now so we are in Brampton several times a week visiting her, and our Father thankfully is 87 and in good health. I think of the Callahan's often as I drive to see my Mother near Peel Village.
My sincere condolences,
Natalie Tobey (& Michelle, Rob and Pam)

I was saddened to learn of Bob's passing. He was a Brampton political figure for a very long time. We worked together on many issues, he as a councillor and MPP, and me as the MP. We were in different parties but often put "party" aside to do the right thing for our city and country. I only wish we would see that kind of co-operation today. His loving wife Lyn was a great partner throughout thick and thin. I am so pleased that we are friends as well and along with Bob, shared a lot of laughs at each other's expense. My sympathies are extended to Lyn and the entire family. Only sorry I can't be there to express them in
person. Rest in peace Bob, you earned your eternal rest. John

It was nice to read about his accomplishments and focus in his life. I am sure he will be missed and I am so thankful that I still have my Dad who is now 88 and doing well.
As a friend of Kevins growing up in the 70's, I have many fond memories of times with the Callahans. All the best to Mrs Callahan, the boys and their families. May Bob now be with the Lord of Hosts. RIP

I remember Bob best from the House. He was a parliamentarian. Bob enjoyed a vigorous debate, but at the same time was always respectful of everyone. He had the ability to contribute in a meaningful way to the debate and at the same time inject humour at an appropriate moment. I always enjoyed his company. He served his constituents and the province with dignity and honour.

What a great life lived, a measure for us all. Many fond memories of Mr. Callahan, my childhood home away from home. Neil Diamond’s blaring Sweet Caroline on the 8-Track in the ‘73 Chevy Wagon at pickup Friday night from the arena might be my definitive memory. Vale Bob !
