ROBERT MICHAEL de JAGER

ROBERT MICHAEL de JAGER Robert was born in Heiloo, The Netherlands, on August 5, 1962, and died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side on Wednesday, June 4, 2003. Robert was a loving husband to Dina (nee Almeida) and a dear father to Alexander, Lauren, and Madeline. Cherished son of David and Kea de Jager, son-in-law of Drabelino and Maria Idalina Almeida, brother of Nico and his wife Agnes, and proud uncle of Merel and Nicolaas. Robert came to Canada in January 1985 and became President in 1991 of Vanhof and Blokker Ltd. (founded in 1868), becoming the 5th generation to operate the family business. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Georgetown. Robert was a proud supporter of his community and generously supported beautification programs in Caledon and Georgetown. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter 'Peel' Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, (Hwy. 10 north of Q.E.W.), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. A funeral service will be held at St. Timothy's Anglican Church, 100 Old Orchard Grove, Toronto, on Monday, June 9, 2003, at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd., Toronto.
