JEANS, Robert Harry ;Bob(Guelph's Mr. Music)
Peacefully, at the St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2000. Bob Jeans in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Floss (Clough) Jeans for almost 60 years. Proud and loving father of Mary Ellen Jeans of Ottawa, Guy Jeans and his wife Marlene Brandt of Mississauga. Devoted papa of Kalene. Grandfather of Michael. Predeceased by his sister Helen Savage and brothers Donald, Gordon and Kenneth Jeans. Bob was the founder of the Twilites Dance Band, had served with the Royal Canadian Corps of Engineers Staff Band during WWII and was awarded the Canadian Decoration. Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL - McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday). Funeral service at the St. George's Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich Street, Guelph on Thursday, January 27, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the St. George's Anglican Church Restoration Fund, Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph or the Canadian Nurses Foundation would be appreciated.
