Robert KIRBY Obituary

ROBERT DOUGLAS KIRBY Robert Douglas Kirby, 62, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born to parents Barbara and Robert Kirby, on February 27, 1960, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Rob graduated from Richview Collegiate High School and received an Economics degree from York University. Rob was in a happy relationship with his girlfriend Nasrin and is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Sami); his granddaughter, Madison; sister, Carolyn (Steve); nephews, Ryan and Mathew; and brother, Scott (Maria). Rob was a proud and loving Papa. Known for his love of good food and his nephew's music, making an impressive shrimp cocktail, as part of the ultimate euchre foursome with Curl, Beve and Naz and had a deep-rooted passion to make the world a better place for future generations. Nothing was dearer to him then the love from his family, especially his granddaughter and daughter. No funeral arrangements are being made as Rob always expressed, he preferred a celebration. A celebration of life with friends and family will be arranged in the coming months.

Oh, my, I am stunned by the passing of Rob. I will miss his caustic but cogent and intelligent commentary on political and economic events. He was truly a fighter for freedom and will be missed not only by Canadians, but also all North Americans. He will be missed. My condolences to the Kirby family and friends.

I just realized i hadn't hasn't heard any commentary from Rob in a while now I know why.

Rob was a bastion of light in a very dark world and had no problem calling out the culprits and always spoke the truth. I'm sure he enlightend many over the years as he did me and he will be greatly missed! God's Speed Rob

I want to let Rob's family know how much he impacted people , and was cared for by people that he was never even aware of. I am deeply saddened by the news of Rob's passing. I believe his voice of truth and honesty were depended on by many in a world where those traits are growing more scarce by the hour. He did not know me, but I would take every opportunity to listen to him that I could. I respected and appreciated him. I will miss him. Thank you for sharing him with us. My sincere condolences.
