Dear Sylvia and family,

I have just now learned of Bob's passing in April.

He was a great guy and made a very valuable contribution to the property and casualty insurance industry. I had the pleasure of serving with him on the board of IBC for many years. I still remember meeting with him and other executive committee members in Premier Bill Vander Zalm's office in Victoria in April 1991.

Unfortunately, COVID ended our ROMEO lunches, as I always looked forward to reconnecting then with Bob and other peers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Bob and Sylvia taught us invaluable life lessons years ago, ones we still carry with us. The unconditional love Bob and Sylvia had for one another and their family was witnessed in their actions and loving gestures. Bob (along with Sylvia) showed us that being positive was much better than looking for the negative. It is hard to talk of Bob without Sylvia because they were a dynamic team. At our crazy Christmas carol sings and crafting night, they always were the class of the group. They had their own interests, but ultimately they treasured their time together. They taught us the power of faith, a faith that is lived in the way they treated people. We are indebted to both of you.

I´m sure your beloved granddaughter Mallory will be thrilled to see you again as you start your new everlasting chapter. My deepest love to Aunt Sylvia, Susan, Michael, and John - may you find peace in that which your father now enjoys. Take good care of each other - always, Paul
