After a lengthy illness, at Riverdale Hospital, Toronto, on Tuesday, June 9, 1998. Bob McMann, in his 60th year, beloved son of the late Melville and Winnifred McMann. Dear brother of Joan Johns of Rockwood and uncle to Kathy and David. Bob devoted over 27 years to cancer research with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Friends will be received at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. East, Acton, on Friday, June 12, 1998 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., when a memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at York Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
