He was a kind and

My Year at Sea.
His move to Toronto was the
start of an impressive career in
the insurance industry. He
mentored many people and his
joyful personality and sparkling
smile were keys to his success.
His marriage to Mary Inness in
1953 produced Elizabeth Millard
(Verwey) and Grant Millard and
he welcomed her two children to
their union; Carolyn Gardner
(Callaghan) and David Gardner
(deceased). Bob cherished his

extensively. In retirement,
winters were spent in Sebring,
Florida and that expanded their
social network.

2008. He was a lifelong learner,
avid Shakespeare scholar, and a
lover of limericks.Following the
peaceful death of Mary, Bob met

them could feel their love. Bob's
generous heart and kind soul will
be missed. A memorial will be
held at a future date.
