I was the Chief of the rebel Keele/Northwestern group before we joined Humber and YorkFinch to form HRRH. I loved working with Bob a few times I did because of his humble nature, radiance of joy, and excellent surgery. And he was one of the ingredients s that helped me decide to join HRRH. Bob was a wonderful man! I mourn his passing. Richard McCutcheon, MD, FRCP (C).

We speak of death in euphemistic terms, using words like "passed on" or "passed away". People who have passed away, have done just that. They have lived and died and have made little or no impact or impression on the lives of others. They have contributed little to the human enterprise. On the other hand, like Robert, this child of God, this loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, doctor, and friend, there are those who have PASSED THIS WAY. Robert did not pass on or pass away. Robert passed this way for many of us who knew him. I am glad that he passed my family´s way. We were blessed by his love, gentleness, and friends.

To Hazel, Laurie, Lana, Gina, Robbie, his grandchildren, his dear colleagues, and friends, be assured of our prayers for we know that he just did not pass away, he passed by.

I will always remember Dr. Ogilvie's kindness in offering a potential family doctor's name when I moved from northern Ontario and resettled in Toronto. For Hazel, his children, and grand-children, may the memories of times shared together in the past bring you some comfort and consolation in the days, weeks, and months that are ahead. May I offer my sincere condolences on the loss of a precious husband, father, and grand-father. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

Thinking of all of you during this time. Sending my deepest sympathy to Hazel and family. I enjoyed getting to know Robert as a wonderful kind man with a great chuckle. We had the pleasure of his time coming to our daycare to show the children his doctor bag and all his tools. He dazzled the kids with his wit and joy of his profession. He made such an impression on me. Hope you all find peace knowing he lived a beautiful life, and he was adored by many myself included. May he rest in eternal peace.

Dr. Ogilvie was a trusted doctor to me and my wife for many years. He also treated our children and some of our grandchildren . We considered him a friend..... my wife (deceased 2015) always made sure that she gifted Dr. Ogilvie each Christmas with homemade sweets. Thank you for your professionalism and for being more than a doctor to our family. Sending my deepest condolences to his family who he spoke of often. May you rest in eternal peace in the loving arms of God.
