Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday, December 16, 2024. Beloved husband of Susan. Loving father of David and Jane (Chris). Doting grandfather to Sam. Robert had a very successful and fulfilling career as a lawyer for Imperial Oil. In his spare time, he dedicated his time to watching, coaching and playing hockey. Dear Susan, Ann and I are very saddened to learn of Rob´s passing. Very unfortunately, I lost touch with Rob once I retired from IOL in 2002. But I do recall with fondness the many years we worked together
in the law department. I believe we started with the company in the same year, 1977. Rob was an excellent lawyer, taking over from Graham Batt as the competition law guru; I cannot think of anyone who was more respected, from among his clients and colleagues alike. I also recall that he did significant volunteer work in the community, I think it was at the Fred Victor mission, but I may be mistaken. In any event, he wore his heart on his sleeve and he approached his work diligently and with a sense of humour.
