SEAGRAM, Robert David
SEAGRAM, Robert David (July 4, 1915 - August 1, 2006)
Peacefully at Briton House Retirement Home in Toronto after a brief illness at the age of 91. David was the youngest son of the late Norman O. Seagram and Gladys Seagram. A loving husband to the late Mary Helena Seagram (nee Baker) for 19 years (pre-deceased 1972) and Winifred Mary Seagram (nee Kingsmill) for 31 years (pre-deceased 2005). He was a devoted father and stepfather to Daphne Seagram, Debbie Seagram (Carl Wehniainen), Alan Wainwright (Pauline), Tom Spragge (Delene) and Susan Thompson (Gordon). Grand Dad will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Alana, Brittne, Justin, Rachel, Jennifer, Kim, Susan, Kaley, Peter, Ian, Janet, Kelsey and also by the many nieces and nephews that he adored. David will be remembered for his generosity, commitment to family and his enthusiasm for life. He was a charismatic gentleman who enjoyed curling, golf, and was a devoted fan of the Toronto Argonauts. We will all miss his style of dress, his unique political views, his penchant for order, and his endearing motto 'I love to have fun'! A very special thank you to the medical staff and caregivers at Briton House. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate David's life on Thursday August 10th, 2006, 1:00 pm. at CHRIST CHURCH DEER PARK, 1570 Yonge Street (NW corner of Yonge & Heath) with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Institute for the Blind or the Toronto Humane Society.
