Robert SILVERTHORNE Obituary

SILVERTHORNE, Robert
It is with profound sadness that Ginny, Dan and Ian announce the passing of their dear husband and father, on Friday, November 24, 2000. Bob and Ginny were holidaying in Mexico, celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary and Bob's 63rd birthday. He was a devoted and loving grandfather to Scarlet, Emma and Madeline. Coming from a family of boys, it was Bob's greatest delight to enjoy the company of these very special girls. Bob was the middle brother of Dick and Peter. Bob lived his whole life in Burlington and could often be seen riding his bike along the Lakeshore. He never became the golfer that he aspired to, but thoroughly enjoyed the pursuit. He was a Chartered Accountant and had his own business in Stoney Creek for many years. Many of his clients were also his good friends. He was a member of Park Bible Church and it was a very important part of his life. He was involved in fundraising for the new Burlington Christian Academy. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of Q.E.W.), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Park Bible Church, 1500 Kerns Road (at North Service Road), Burlington, on Wednesday, November 29, 2000 at 1 p.m. Pastor Ronald Gannett officiating. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Burlington Christian Academy.
