WARTMAN, Robert Patterson
Robert left on New Year's Eve, as always over the past 53 years, with his wife Norma at his side. Together on the boat with lots of grandchildren (14), five great kids Chris (Kathy), Paul (Janna), Carol Mackillop (formerly Quirt) (Bill Mackillop), Colin (Brenda), Charlotte Van Leeuwen (Atul Swarup), and siblings Jean Moore, Alvin, Hester Caldwell, Alice Paul, Caroline Campbell, and Nancy Warren. Leaving his dogs, cottage, duck blind, canoe, tame geese he thought were wild, clay courts, the Wilson farm, deer camouflage, blue cheese & aged steak, the old truck, the River Road, and glorious trees. Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Friend, Skipper, 'Watermelon', second generation Funeral Director, Twice OCA Curling Champion, 1991 C&C 41 North American Sailing Champion, and two time Rotarian of the Year, he did it all with determination and a zest for life. The Family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home, 448 Camden Road at Newburgh Road, Napanee K7R 1G1 (613-354-3722) on Saturday 7-9 p.m., and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Private Family interment at Riverside Cemetery. Friends desiring may contribute to the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre or The Napanee District Community Foundation.
