After a lengthy bout with cancer, Bob passed away at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby, on Sunday, December 28, 2025, in his 80th year. He was the beloved husband and soulmate of Seanne (nee Thomas) for 55 years. Brother-in-law of Elsie Campbell (d. 2011) (Peter d. 2015) and Ron Thomas. Uncle to Scott (Betsy), Stuart (d. 2025) (Sandra), Amber (Alma), Carli (Brent) and Erin (Colton). Great-Uncle to Lexi (Isaac), Sierra (Thomas), Alex, Katie, Grayson, Harrison and Henley. Bob was born on March 17, 1946, to Jean and Jim Wilkins and raised in Parkdale, Toronto. His family moved to Oakville for his high school days. He then moved back to Toronto to begin his career in computer programming in large businesses. At mid-life, he quit the security of big business and began his own company offering various computer services to not-for-profit organizations. An outpouring of condolences included reminders of memories over many years from family, from friends and their children and from dancers. Bob was kind, patient, caring and funny, a friend to many and mentor to younger family and children of friends. He was "larger than life … brightening the lives of many." His enjoyment of life and his radiant smile were infectious. Moving to Niagara after retirement, Bob continued his love of cooking and entertaining while becoming more familiar with local wines. Like-minded friends enjoyed his hospitality and generosity. He also engaged his love of music and dance through involvement in ballroom line dancing at the Burlington Seniors' Centre under the guidance of Arthurlyn Seager. Once he was no longer able to dance, he continued to choreograph his favourite music for the class. While he could never carry a tune, he was a fabulous dancer! Raise a glass of your favourite wine in his honour. We would like to thank Drs. Mary Salib, Linda Lee and Trevor Lewis for their cancer care, as well as the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital who cared for him in his final days. In honouring Bob's wishes, private family arrangements have been made. Memorial donations to Walker Family Cancer Centre (Niagara Health Foundation) or West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street and Scott Street), 289-362-1144. Online condolences may be made at
