(May 20, 1969 – December 3, 2025) We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Robson Arthur Armitage, who left us in the late hours of Wednesday, December 3, 2025, while surrounded by his family. Born in Calgary, AB, on May 20, 1969, Robson was raised by the perfect combination of people; The bubbly, joyous, Sandra (nee Mitchell) Armitage, and the ever devoted, tenacious businessman, Linder Armitage. Remaining in Calgary after graduating from Lord Beaverbrook high school, Robson began his career at Southgate Chevrolet Oldsmobile, advancing from an entry position to taking on the General Manager role. Southgate is also where he would eventually meet his future wife and mother of his children, Dolleen (nee Christie) Armitage. Robson held strong work ethic in high regard, commanding and inspiring the best from those around him, both at work and at home. As a boy, Robson could likely be found in the mountains with his father Linder on any given weekend; climbing in the summer season and skiing in the winter. He was an exceptional alpine ski racer. Fast and fearless, he could dance through moguls like nobody else; there was no slope Robson couldn't conquer. He loved his children to the fullest. A proud father of two sons, Mitchell Robson and Aiden Linder, Robson attended their every practice, game, and tournament, at any rink, gym, or field. He shaped his boys into two respectable, honest, and accountable young men. He also established these attributes in his stepson Myles, a true father figure in his life. Robson had a passion for sports, particularly NFL, hockey, boxing, and any form of racing. Anyone visiting his happy home would likely find the TV locked onto the current sporting event – McClane, his Old English Sheepdog (loyal companion and friend) always attached at his side. An avid concert goer, Robson attended several iconic shows throughout the years. In his youth, and later with his children, Robson attended many Metallica concerts, amongst countless others. His vigorous personality was reflected in the many types of music he enjoyed – anything with a powerful voice or a strong guitar. Robson was gifted with quick wits and a sharp mind that he used to crack the types of clever jokes with a dry delivery that would make everyone smile. His humour and laughter could fill a room, and in the silence that follows, he will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his mother, Sandra (nee Mitchell) Armitage. He is survived by his father, Linder Armitage; his former wife, Dolleen Armitage; their children, Mitchell Armitage and Aiden Armitage; and his stepson, Myles Rouleau. Anyone who knew Robson and wishes to pay their respects may do so at his Funeral Service being held at Millarville Christ Church (Hwy. 549 East, Millarville, AB) on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church hall. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Robson's family at
