He attended London South Collegiate Institute and went on to the University of Western Ontario, graduating from Medical School in 1961. Roger completed his residencies in Adult and Child Psychiatry in Toronto. He returned to London and began working at the Children's Psychiatric Research Institute (CPRI). In addition to his clinical work at CPRI, Roger served as Chief of Children's Service and as Acting Director of Treatment, Training, and Research. Throughout his life, Roger enjoyed the out-of-doors: family vacations at Pointe Clark and at Lake of Bays, African safaris, and trips to the Arctic and Antarctica. At home, Roger enjoyed landscaping, working with stained glass, carpentry, and daily walks with his dog. Roger was an enthusiastic competitor at table tennis, joining his friends at the Huff n' Puff Seniors Fitness Association and competing in the London Senior Games. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to UNICEF Canada or to a
