Ron TOLNAI Obituary

RON TOLNAI It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ron on March 11, 2022 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Ron was predeceased by his parents Drs. Susan and George Tolnai. Beloved husband of Melanie and loving father of Evan, Davis, Cameron and Ryan. Lovingly missed by his brother Peter (Emily). Ron grew up in Ottawa and earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University and an MBA from the Ivey Business School. He loved to build things, whether it be a home or an amazing treehouse for his boys. Ron was passionate about sports, especially hockey, and was a huge fan of the Oakville Rangers. Ron was a true family man. He always put his children's needs and wants above his own. Whether it was driving them to the rink or spending nights in SickKids Hospital, he always did his best for the better of them. He was known by his friends for his humour and caring personality, always making the people around him smile. Ron will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his charismatic character that always made the lives of those around him better. A celebration of Ron's life will be held later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations for mitochondrial research at MitoCanada.org. Online condolences may be made at oakviewfuneral.ca.

Peter, so very sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. I didn't know him but to lose a family member is devastating and I hope you're alright.

Ron will certainly be missed around the family/friends Christmas and birthday celebrations Melanie always hosted. You never knew what zinger Ron was going to say, but you knew you were going to belly laugh. Ron knew a lot about a broad range of subjects and was happy to talk about anything and everything. Of course he would always have a well thought out opinion and would enthusiastically debate on the subject. We will miss those dinners and conversations.
Melanie, Evan, Davis, Ryan and Cameron, know that our family is always here for you.
Much love.
