On October 23, 2025, Ron Sirkis died, surrounded by loving family at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife, Esther; his children, Hartley (Meghan Hamill), Tama (Jordan Bender), and Mira (Itai Peleg); and his grandchildren, Daniel, Maya, Ella, Lyla, Mila, and Naomi. Ron had a long, successful career as one of the leading tax lawyers in Canada and served as General Counsel at BMO. He enjoyed the finer things in life: cars, clothes, watches, and cameras. But above all, he loved his family. He was a committed and joyful husband, father, and grandfather. He taught his children and grandchildren to love travel, a good joke, and an expensive watch. He had a sharp wit and a generous spirit, and made friends everywhere he went. After Ron retired, he traveled the world with his cameras, taking fabulous photos and having adventures. He wanted to experience as much of the world as possible. He was kind, generous, caring, brilliant, full of love and the funniest guy in any room. He will be greatly missed. Please see
