ROSAMOND REVELL Obituary

June 6, 1945 – July 5, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosamond Georgina Revell at Silverthorn Community on July 5, 2025. Rose was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on June 6, 1945, to Esther (White) and Carl Frail. Rose spent the first four years of her life in Truro, Nova Scotia. The family then moved to Hamilton, Ontario, and in the next few years, were joined by three boys, for whom she enthusiastically embraced the role of big sister. She cherished that role and continued to always be there for her brothers until her declining health made it no longer possible for her. Rose was a long-time dedicated employee in the corporate offices of The Steel Company of Canada (Stelco) in both Toronto and Hamilton. Rose and Stu met on a blind date, and believed destiny had brought them together, and so began their wonderful love story. Rose and Stu were married in April 1970 and celebrated 51 years together before Stu's passing. For all those years, Stu always referred to her as "my sweetheart." They loved to travel and had many amazing trips all over the world. At home in Erin Mills, they loved to entertain their cherished family and friends. They were amazing hosts; all groups of guests were always treated equally. One of their favourite highlights of the Christmas season was the tree decorating party with the Wells family, a tradition which carried on through several generations of Wells. In later years, it also included Stu's "Little Brother," Brendan Fitzgerald. Rose was a lover of nature, and a champion for many declining species. She loved her flower garden, feeding the birds, and music. She especially loved the birds and for many years, invited them into her backyard for year-round treats. Stu continued to feed them long after she no longer could, because he knew that is what she would want. Rose was gifted at, and very much enjoyed her needle work. Over the years, she produced many, many beautiful pieces and most of us have at least one or more hanging in our homes. Rose lived her life to the fullest - believing in hard work and total commitment to every project she undertook. None of us could ever have imagined how their story would end. Rose is survived by her brothers, Greg Frail (Loretta), and their sons, Nicholas (Kelly) and Neil (Alanna), and their children, Brady and Hannah, Owen Frail (Myra), and their sons, OJ and Ricky; sister-in-law, Angela Revell, her children and grandchildren; Dave Arsenault (wife, Chantale), Dave's children, Max and Claire, Dylan Arsenault, Dylan's sons, Mason and Blake; late sister-in-law Gay's children and grandchildren, Joe Whibbs, Paige (husband, John Rinaldi), and their daughter, Jordan. Cal (Carol), their son, Chase, and their daughter, Courtenay (husband, Anthony Reimert), and their daughter, Taylor; as well as her dearest friend of many years, Karen Wells, and many other wonderful friends. Rose was predeceased by her loving husband, Stu; her parents, Esther and Carl Frail; brother, Ricky Frail; in-laws, Phyllis and Alf Revell, and sister-in-law, Gay Revell. Rose's family would like to express their deep gratitude to her many friends and family for their continued visits and kindnesses to her at Silverthorn, even though she could no longer acknowledge them. Rose's family and friends would like to thank the staff at Silverthorn Community for the years of care and love they gave her. A Celebration of Life for Rose and Stu will take place at Turner & Porter, Neweduk- Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Everyone welcome!
