In the early days, a Gem amongst the rocks; then came John and Diamond emerged - spirited, strong and vibrant; with the boy's arrival, we had a Rose amongst the thorns, alive, playful and nurturing. Then with the big fight, we saw the Rock with the stoicism, determination and undiminished zeal, to form the foundation of the legacy. Gone from our midst and free fly with the angels

Both Maureen and I were sadden to learn yesterday of Rosemary's passing. We will cherish the good memories of both Rosemary and John sitting around the supper table enjoying Mo's spaghetti and home made sauce while listening to the stories from both Rosemary and John about adventures in their travels and lives. Rosemary, and John ,gone but not forgotten... especially on our pasta nights!! Mike and Maureen Kozak

Fond memories of sailing, canoeing and camping on Georgian Bay. Romey always had every condiment with her in the canoe! She is missed.

Romey's passing is heartbreaking for those of us left. She'll be so sadly missed by Carol, Bettine, Richard, Bruce, Ian and Patrick and their extended families. If there is a consolation, it is that she is in a better place, free from her suffering.
I, too, will miss her beyond words. We had many a laugh over our shared predicaments. She has been a close friend since we both moved to Canada and shared an apartment with two others.
I would dearly love to attend her memorial service, but due to my own immobility I am unable to be there. Mutual friends Sue and Sandy McKellar plan to attend and will explain why I cannot be present.
My love and sincere condolences to all her family.

Angela Trowell. (A Zimbabwean who spent a great deal of time in the Cape and is familiar with most of the territory Romey and John frequented).
