ROSLYN MARIE SMITH It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Roslyn Marie Smith, on May 17, 2023. Roslyn was the cherished daughter of her late parents, Ross and Paula Smith; and sister of Lynne (Robert Jenkins). Roslyn was a wonderful, fun-loving woman, known for her quick wit, wicked sense of humour and naughty laugh, along with a dazzling smile. Her spirit was generous, her heart was big and her mind was sharp. She was also a devoted "Auntie Mame" to the children of her extended family and close friends. Over the years, her true love of travel took her around the world. She travelled across most of Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific and Kenya, as well as living in London and Sydney for a time. She was fearless and adventurous. In her earlier days, she was an avid skier and loved her yearly winter jaunts to Austria with her American ski pals; as well as spending some time in the French Alps, skiing in the afternoons, while mornings were devoted to school to brush up on her French. Roslyn enjoyed a successful career in human resources management. She was a strategic thinker, wise, and a great coach for those who sought her counsel, whether it be for business or personal reasons. Roslyn will be remembered and deeply missed by her family and myriad of friends around the world. Her warmth and charm built bridges of friendship. A Celebration of Life service for Roslyn will be held on July 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at Morley Bedford Funeral Services, 159 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto. In accordance with Roslyn's wishes, her ashes will be interred in the Smith family grave in Montreal, at Mt. Royal Cemetery in late August.
