ROSS MORRISON Obituary
Ross Albert Morrison, 90, passed away peacefully at home, on November 11, 2025, after a long and fulfilling life. Ross is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Carole; and their children, Craig (Corrinne), Joe (Donna), Marlie (Paul), and Christy (Andrew). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Katie, Jenny, Reece, Mac, Connor, Cameron, Molly, and Marcus, who will deeply miss his laughter, quick wit, and legendary collection of jokes. Ross was predeceased by his sister, Claire Ryan; and is survived by his youngest sister, Rae Cram (Philip). Born and raised in Montreal, Ross met Carole in Alberta and then settled in Owen Sound, Ontario, in 1964, where they raised their family and built lasting connections in the community. Ross served as President and General Manager of RBW Graphics for over 20 years, leading with integrity and a strong sense of purpose. Due to his efforts, RBW Graphics grew from a small, local business into the company it is today as the largest employer in Owen Sound. He also contributed generously to community life, serving as Board Chair of the Owen Sound General Hospital, Chair of the Owen Sound Golf & Country Club, member of the Owen Sound Police Force Board and as a long-time Director at Gore Mutual Insurance. His steady leadership and good humour made him a valued colleague and friend wherever he went. Ross had a gentle nature and an easy smile. He loved dogs, sweets, and a "Bowman cup" of black coffee. His laughter was loud and infectious. He was loyal to his family and friends, unwaveringly kind, and always quick to lend a helping hand. An avid sports enthusiast, Ross loved being active - whether sailing with family up and down the North Shore, swimming at Riviere Beaudette, skiing at Whistler, or playing golf everywhere he went, his lifelong passion. For 20 years, Ross and Carole enjoyed wintering in Bonita Springs, Florida, at Hunters Ridge Golf Club along with many fellow snowbirds. When not outdoors, he could often be found cheering on the Blue Jays or the Habs or playing a lively game of low-stakes poker with old friends. Travel was another great joy in his life, as he and Carole shared adventures across the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, and throughout Canada, with a special fondness for the majestic Rockies. Ross will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him. It's hard to summarize such a big life. His laughter, kindness, and love for life will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Red Cross.
