STEWART, (James) Ross, (MMM, CD, W.W.II Veteran, former Pipe Major 48th Highlanders of Canada, former Hospital Adminstrator, and long time Toronto Hydro Employee)
It is with the greatest sadness that the family announces that Ross Stewart passed away at the age of 76, following a heroic battle with cancer at Toronto, on Sunday, January 7, 2001. Ross is survived by his loving wife Shirley (nee Passmore) of 52 years, daughters Catherine and her husband Ted Kent, Linda and her husband Randy Harding and Heather and her husband Kevin Davis. Loving grandfather of ALexandra and Victoria Davis. Dearly loved brother of Margaret Carter, Mary Freeman and the late Audrey Stewart. Also remembered lovingly by his many in-laws and nieces and nephews. Ross served overseas participating in the liberation of Holland. Ross will be remembered by those whom he touched through his many personal, community and charitable endeavours. His many acts of kindness warmed the lives of all who knew him. A great husband, father, ;poppy, friend and colleague, Ross will be sorely missed by all. The family is particularly grateful to the staff of Providence Villa for the dignity, compassion and loving care they provided. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME-A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 7-9 p.m. Monday, January 8 and Tuesday, January 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A CELEBRATION OF ROSS' LIFE WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10 - 11 A.M.
