At home on March 17, 1999 after a remarkable and courageous journey, Roy passed away in his 55th year. He is deeply mourned by his loving and devoted family: wife Mary, daughter Tracey, son Scott, son-in-law Andy Wood and father Robert Speedman of Motherwell, Scotland. Roy's humour and zest for life will be sorely missed by his family, many friends and colleagues around the world. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street at Goulding south of Steeles). Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 24 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Anglican Church, York Mills (19 Don Ridge Drive off Old Yonge St.). Cremation Mount Pleasant. The family wishes to acknowledge the kindness of their many friends, the doctors and nurses of the Princess Margaret Hospital and the Mount Sinai Palliative Care Team.
