WALLACE, Russell Downing
died Monday, March 16th, 1998 at the QE II Health Sciences Centre New Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Albert Co. N.B. he was the son of the late Russell and Jessie (Downing) Wallace. Beloved husband of Carmilla, devoted father of Patricia and Joan, loving grandfather to Kathryn and Robert. Russell joined the R.C.M.P. in 1942 later leaving to pursue a career in business with Canadian Acceptance Corporation. He retired in 1982 as a Vice President and Regional Manager after a long and successful career. Russell was actively involved with the R.C.M.P. Veterans Association and the Kiwanis Golden K of Halifax. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends, his many charitable works and especially for his wonderful sense of humor. He will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at Bayer's Road Baptist Church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. followed by private burial at Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton. In memory, donations may be sent to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
