MEAGHER, Ruth Eleanor (nee Ripley)
Peacefully in the presence of her family at the Victoria Royal Jubilee Hospital on Tuesday, January 12, 2000, in her 67th year. Beloved wife of Tom Meagher. Dear mother of William Bruce and his wife Karen, David Arthur and his wife Cari, Thomas Craig, Tracey Anne and her husband Michael Beardall. Proud grandmother of Nicole, Michael, Jack, Chelsea, Jamie, and AnneMarie. Survived by sisters Doreen Ripley and Jean Hanson. Sister-in-law to Florence Ripley. She will be remembered for her caring and kind nature, enthusiasm for life, generosity of spirit, and endless devotion to family and friends. It is fitting that the name Ruth means ;good friend; as she was a good friend to many people. She was a remarkable person, and will be deeply missed. A celebration of Ruth's life will take place on Monday, January 17, 2000 at 12:10 p.m. at St. Patrick's Parish (2067 Carrick Avenue, Victoria, B.C.). If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Juvenile Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
