Sally MOORE Obituary

SALLY PATRICIA MOORE After a big, beautiful life, Sally died peacefully on April 17, 2023, at the age of 85 after a short illness. She will be so missed by her daughters, Marianne, Amy and Jennifer; by her son-in-law, Sandy Cameron; by her grandchildren, Ruby, Owen, Evan and Ridley; and by her life love, Carl Baar. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Edward and Olive Potter. Anyone who knew Sally knew she lived her life with curiosity, enthusiasm and fearlessness. She embraced this big world and explored it tirelessly, returning home from trips with gifts and stories, but most importantly with cherished connections to the people she met, the places she marveled at, the experiences that enriched her life. She had an insatiable desire to share her adventures with her friends and family, and always encouraged those close to her to get out there and explore. At the centre of her heart was a tiny village in France called Bargagne, a place she claimed as her home in 1978. She created deep roots there with beloved friends and shared this beautiful corner of France with everyone she knew. Sally was an early entrepreneur with Threadneedle Street, a successful real estate agent, an enthusiastic artist, a competitive bridge and boardgame player, an avid reader and learner, but she was above all else a devoted mother, grandmother, partner and friend. Sally would have wanted to thank Dr. Marcus Butler and his team and the palliative care doctors and nurses at Princess Margaret Hospital. There will be a service to celebrate Sally's life on Monday, May 8 at 11 a.m. at Eglinton St. George's United Church, 35 Lytton Blvd, Toronto. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, people donate in Sally's name to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

I knew Sally many years ago. My children and I were early visitors to Bargagne in 1988. She was a gem and will be sadly missed by her family friends and all who knew her.
