SALLY ANN WILSON obituary

SALLY WILSON Obituary

(nee Berry, September 30, 1937 - November 11, 2025) Beloved wife of J.N. Ross Wilson; daughter of the late George and Dossie Berry of Ottawa. Dear mother of Lori Fisher (Mike), John Wilson (Clare), Michael Wilson (Jacqui), and Sandra King (Peter); and much-loved Granny of Jake, Maggie, and Charlie Fisher; Sidney, Liam, Tate and Tucker Wilson; Tyler, Braden, Ella and Kyle Wilson; Sam, Spencer and Gracie King. Predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Powers; and brother, George. Survived by sister, Susan Miklas of Kingston. Born and raised in Ottawa, Sally graduated from Queen's University ('58) and worked in the Research Department of the Bank of Canada, where she met and then married Ross in 1960. She was a pillar of support for Ross, a devoted mother and grandmother, and an active member of the Ottawa community. She hosted an innovative consumer affairs program on cable television, helped solicit sponsors for the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, earned an MBA at Ottawa University ('79), taught marketing at Algonquin College and became a pension analyst for Revenue Canada. Following retirement, she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, spending many happy times at the family "cheese factory" property on Amherst Island and touring the world with Ross. The family is deeply appreciative of the exceptional care she received at the Fairmount Home in Kingston. There will be a Celebration of Life at a future date. Donations in Sally's memory can be made to Brain Canada Foundation.
