SAM MERSON Obituary

Of Toronto, passed away peacefully, on Friday, November 28, 2025. Beloved husband of Lori Gutkin and the late Lorraine Merson. Loving father and father- in-law of Rael and Karen, and Elana and Dave Seligman. Devoted grandfather of Laurence, Justin and Leora, Daniel and Kara, Nicole and Marc; great-grandfather of Ryder, Blake, Lily, Jace and Coby. Sam was a legend on Bloor Street and Yorkville for over 50 years for his stores, Edna Schwartz and Options for Her. He loved Toronto and all that it had to offer, its culture, theatre and especially its restaurants. He travelled widely and considered Paris his second home. He loved life, his family and especially his beloved wife, Lori. Service was held at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Beth Tzedec Memorial Park.
