Samir DIAB Obituary
Samir passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital, while holding his wife, Elena's, hand. After years of battling serious illness, Samir's last few moments included a few scoops of ice cream, pudding, and some crushed ice - a few of his favourite things and a testament to his sweet tooth. A fiercely devoted family man, Samir and Elena moved their young family from Lebanon during the war to England for five years, and then on to Toronto. He was passionate and stubborn - no surprise for someone so Lebanese. Most importantly, he had an unwavering commitment and deep sense of loyalty to his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Elena; his sons, Sacha and Amer; his daughters-in-law, Natalia and Cassy; and was a very proud jiddo to his grandchildren, Aidan, Lucas, Finley and Piper. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
