Peacefully, in Montreal, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, September 1, 2012, in his eighty-sixth year. Devoted and loving husband of the late Phyllis Caplan for fifty-two years. Treasured father and father-in-law of Minda and Irwin Ludmer, Elaine and Phil Levi, Stephen and Wendy Rapps. Adored Papa of Marissa and Richie Copelovitch, Cary and Jordan Adelstein; Cory Levi, Jordana and David Berg, Jeremy and Mandy Levi, Jillian Levi; Michael Rapps, David and Elyse Rapps, and Eric Rapps. Loving great-grandfather of Harrison and Matthew Copelovitch, and Joseph Berg. Cherished brother of Label (Louis) Rapps and the late Harry Rapps. Beloved son of the late Yetta and the late Marcus Rapps. Brother- in-law of the late Francis Caplan Flegal. Devoted son-in-law of the late Molly and the late Morris Caplan. Dearest friend of Shirley Croll. A heartfelt thank you to all his caregivers, Anise, Belinda, Isabel, Laqueta, Rayconnie, Sherry and Venice. Special thanks to all his doctors for their exceptional care over the years. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Tuesday , September 4 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane, Montreal. Shiva at 6100 Deacon Road #10F, Montreal H3S 2V6.
