Suddenly at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, on Thursday, July 9, 1998. Retired partner of Basin and Barsky, then Clarkson Gordon, Chartered Accountants. Respected leader of the Regina Jewish and business community. Sam, beloved husband of Edith. Dear father of Dr. Stephen and his wife Rebecca, Dr. Michael and his wife Paul, Dr. Allan, Melvin and his wife Lori. Proud and devoted grandfather of Elliot, Philip, Zachary, Eric, Joel and Jordan. Predeceased by his grandson Adam. Sam is survived by brother James and his wife Dolores, and his brother David. Sam will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A funeral service was held Friday, July 10, 1998 at 2 p.m. from Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave. W. (Between Yonge & Bathurst). Interment Pardes Shalom Cemetery, Beth Emeth Section. Shiva to be observed at 18 Blairville Rd., Downsview. In lieu of shiva gifts donations to The Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University, 416-485-8000 would be appreciated.
