SAMUEL BERN Obituary



SAMUEL BERN Peacefully in Montreal, with his daughter by his side, on Wednesday, November 9th, 2005, at the age of eighty. Beloved husband of Celia Kershner. Devoted father of Roslyn, Sheldon, and Ivan. Grandfather of two. Loving brother and brother-inlaw of Charles (Chuck) and Debbie, Morris and the late Toba Hersh. He will be sadly missed by his uncle Jack and Auntie Rae, his nephews Seymour and Kenny Hersh and family, the Beraznik family, brotherin-law Sidney Kershner and family, and by his many friends. Special gratitude to Mirella Pini, his devoted and long time friend and assistant. He will be sorely missed by everyone at BOW Plastics, where he was President and CEO. The family would like to thank his wonderful caregivers Bill, Rachel and Dawn, who gave him peace and comfort, and the staff at the Waldorf for their care. Special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Rubin Becker for his friendship and support. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, Montreal on Friday, November 11th at 1:00 p.m. Burial in Montreal. Shiva at the Waldorf Residence, 7400 Cote St. Luc Rd., Montreal QC H4W 3J4, Saturday evening, Sunday and Monday from 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sam's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Quebec, (514) 8711551, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, (800) 226-8464. 'His memory will be in our hearts forever'.

My deepest Sympathay to the Bern family. I was an employee of Bow/Ceva for 18 yrs. I remember Mr B's hearty laugh and friendliness. may he still be running bow from above, and no doubt he will attempt it.
