RAXLEN, Samuel, D.D.S.
In his 93rd year, passed away quietly in Florida on September 26th, 2000, after a long illness, with his wife Joy at his side. He was the loving father of Bernard (Mary), Marcia Unger (Walter), and Richard (Susan), and of his step children Arne, Carol, Barbara and Christine and their families. Proud grandfather of Thor Raxlen (Jussara), Jeffrey, Alex, Robin, Russell, Carrie, Andrew, Mark and Zoe Unger, Rufus, Moss and Chloe Raxlen; and great-grandfather of Sol Raxlen. Cherished brother of Benjamin, Muriel (Pomer) and Ann (Cohen). Samuel was predeceased by his first wife Rose Brodsky in 1967, and also by his grandchildren Jenny Iverson Raxlen, Nicole, Rory-Ellen and Amanda Unger, brothers Louis, Alex, Saul, and sister Rachel Gould. Samuel was educated at University of Toronto and practised dentistry for many years. Along with his brothers he founded the Raxlen Clinic and the Doctor's Hospital. A private family service was held.
