(nee Strosnider) December 30, 1949 - April 7, 2025 Sandy died peacefully, after a lengthy illness at Humber Heights LTC. She is survived by Jerry, her husband of 53 years; daughter, Whitney (Mike); son, Christopher; and her beloved grandsons, Xavier and Quinn. Also to mourn are her sister, Pat (Penn Yan); and brothers, Gerry (Newfield, New York), Steve (Bridgeton, New Jersey) and Craig (Henderson, Kentucky). Sandy was born in the small town of Penn Yan, New York, in the beautiful Finger Lakes area of New York State. Sandy grew up with her four siblings around the village of Hall, New York. After high school, she moved to New York City and enrolled in airline school. When that didn't work out, she took a job on Wall Street as an assistant to an institutional sales representative who covered investment accounts in New York and Toronto. As fate would have it, Jerry was one of his accounts in Toronto and they knew each other well. On his next business trip to NYC, Jerry called on his friend, met Sandy and as they say, the rest is history. It was many months of phone calls and back and forth to Toronto and NYC before Jerry proposed. Sandy then moved to Toronto, and they were married on November 20, 1971. Sandy worked for a time in the financial area in Toronto before the children arrived. Later, she had a career as a sales rep for various companies before retiring. Sandy loved to cook, decorate and garden - her home was her domain. As per her request, she will be cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sandy's name to a
