I just heard the news that lovely Sandra passed away. I worked with her for many years, featuring Sherway Gardens on Cityline. She taught me so much about colour, shape, drape and style ....and I always loved how she moved her hands and touched her bouncy curls as she spoke. ...with grace. Sandra was a wonder to watch, and she taught me skills I use every day. May her family be reminded of how so many of us were bettered because of her.

Living in Jamaica watching this lady on TV..for many years, how could I forget that fashionista, so many great ideas. Just learning of her death 2 months later:
There will not be another .
I recall years ago I was walking out of the first session from tennis at Roger´s Centre , there she was walking in to the night session, our eyes made four, she looked at me and smile and I did the same.

What an inspiration she was! From head to toe, embracing her curls, wearing the best shoes ever, and showing us how to look good and feel good every day! She made me buy the outfits, buy the bag...you only live once... She lived it fully and leaves behind so many who loved her. She will be missed so much.

Sincerest sympathies to the beautiful family Sandra has left behind to mourn her death. I knew this vibrant, energetic , talented ahead of her time lady when she first started in fashion, (Toronto Life , I believe) as Rowan Legg. She had such a sense of humor and style and always ever so gracious to everyone ,when she came into Creeds she caused a `buzz´ , likewise when she was selecting items at Holt Renfrew, then she would have young interns following her in awe! I watched Sandy so many times on City TV, remember her doing a program segment on the design show and thought she was so uplifting and positive. She was an inspiration to me through her fashion and I thank her for that. And those beautiful curls.

Beautiful heart; exuberant zest for life. She was an extraordinary human who touched me deeply. I will forever be grateful for her kindness, generosity and fierce sense of style. Dear Lauryn and the Pittano family. Lauryn, I meet you in a first year Sociology class at Western. I stood with you as you spoke to your Mom on the phone who helped you work through the anxiety of an exam. I could hear her speaking to you, what a calm spirit she had.
