SANDY LOVELL Obituary
Sandy Lovell left us on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, while doing what he loved - hiking with his wife, Andrée, and their dogs on the Bruce Trail near his home in Ravenna. He was 66. Sandy adored Andrée and was an amazing and ridiculously proud dad to Danielle, Cameron, and Evan. After retiring from a career in the financial services sector, Sandy fully embraced country life while also taking every opportunity to pursue his many lifelong passions - from skiing, golfing, and travelling to sharing good food and great wine with family and friends, both at home and abroad. Informal and humble, Sandy provided vitality to his community. He had a knack for bringing people together and bringing events to life. Famous for epic November "Birthday Bashes" and more recently "Barn Bashes," Sandy connected with people by connecting with people in a way that built an incredibly strong, loyal, and enduring circle of friends. That circle followed him and grew as he moved through life's phases, from his teenage years in Aurora, to his working life in Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto, and eventually the Collingwood area. Sandy's wry humour permeated his interactions with people, breaking down barriers and allowing people to open up and be their true selves. He was a coach and a mentor to many, helping others navigate the perils and joys of modern life as well as assisting in careers and life decisions. Sandy was always there as a friend when needed most, regardless of background or circumstance. While Sandy, affectionately known as The Doon, will be profoundly missed, his legacy will live on in the difference he made to all those whose lives were enriched by his presence. A private celebration of Sandy's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Fawcett Funeral Home - Collingwood
