SARAH SILBERSTEIN SWARTZ

Age 77, of Boston, March 6, 2025, formerly of Toronto. Beloved wife of Ellie Kellman; mother of Rebecca Swartz and Hannah Swartz; mother-in-law to Eric Moskowitz; "Sasa" to Reuben, Arlo, and Isaac; chosen family of Helena Lipstadt and Valerie Hepburn Craig; and loyal friend to many. Born in Berlin to Holocaust survivors from Poland, raised in Berlin, Connecticut, and Brooklyn, Sarah was a citizen of the world. For 30+ years she called Toronto home, where she raised her daughters on the Danforth and built a successful career as an editor and writer, before relocating to Boston in 2000.
