Satyendra SAHAY Obituary
SAHAY, Dr. Satyendra
Departed as he had lived, peacefully and with dignity, on May 1, 2003. Born in Calcutta, India, Satyendra came to Canada in 1958 as a medical intern, where he met and soon married Hemu Ramdas, also a recently arrived medical intern. Their life together in Canada brought them much happiness and success, both personally and professionally. Satyendra's many deep and lasting friendships were a source of great joy, exceeded only by the joy and pride that he and Hemu took in their three daughters, Sarita, Toni and Tina, and more recently, in their five grandchildren, Ayisha and Jordan Sahay Glover, Jamie and Teja Sahay Peltomaa and Joshua Sahay Etigson. Satyendra was fully engaged in life and endlessly curious about the world, its people and their creations and ideas. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but through precious memories, his kind and gentle spirit, wisdom and integrity will carry on. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday May 7, 2003, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Carfrae Chapel, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto.
