YOUNG, Scott Alexander
Died at home in Kingston, Ontario, on 12 June, 2005, aged 87. An admired writer of style and wit with a gift for phrase-making, especially remembered for his wide- ranging columns in The Globe and Mail, and his Scrubs on Skates series of children's stories, among his 45 books. Survived by his wife Margaret Burns Hogan, children Robert, Neil, Deirdre and Astrid, step-daughters Erin, Caitlin and Maggie, and their families, and his sister Dorothy. Service on Thursday, 16 June, at Tompkins Funeral Home (downtown), Kingston (613) 546-5454.
